Gabriel learned to write early because he pushed Mama hard to teach him. This was a year ago or so.
Now that he can write letters, and spell a few words, like his own name, Maxime's, Papa's and Mama's, we recently came to realize he is now intent on finding bigger challenges.
Today, I stepped out of the kitchen and into the hall, to find Gabriel lying by himself in the center of the hallway floor, completely relaxed, stretched out, spelling words on a piece of paper with a felt-tip pen. He was copying words from newspaper advertisements.
