Gabriel is big for his age. He even wants to be an adult. Now! This must be why he eats like a duke in the morning.
Before His Grace departs for school with Mama, he has no interest in yoghurts, cereals, toast with marmalade. That is for children.
So what does my man eat? Voluminous ham sandwiches, made with stout slices of hearty country bread.
Now we're talking.
Dickens lies down next to him. Not that Gabriel gives Dickens anything directly from the table, since we have forbidden it (better for dog). No, little Dickens loves so very much just to be near Gabriel, just to be next to his friend. These two are thick as thieves. When Gabriel does eventually get up to go to school, Dickens would do anything to go with him.
But Gabriel saves a little piece of his sandwich, and puts it in Dickens' bowl on the way out the door to the car.
Below is a little video snippet of the breakfast.
Oh, one other thing, just too funny! Toward the end, you have to see Gabriel put his fingers on his forehead, imitating me, but he does it so casually, so surreptitiously, it just slipped up on me. Gotta see!
