Maxime and Gabriel picking sweets in a boulangerie

Every boulangerie has the invariable corner shelf display of candies. Sometimes they are homemades, sometimes they are commercial.

Whatever the case may be, they are a magnet to Maxime and Gabriel. The choice is usually pretty extensive, and these boulangeries always seem to have items that you don't usually find, say, in a super market. This makes it fun - to investigate the funny candies.

There are fizzling ones that you put on your tongue, and ones with whistles, and even ones that look like lizards (no, thank you).

The two boys talk about the postitive and negative aspects of the ones they pick out. Many get almost chosen, only to be returned to the shelf because something yet better has been discovered.
