New eyeglasses trip to Vire

A trip for new eyeglasses with these two is not a chore, but an adventure. Constant and unremitting horsing around. In the car, during the drive to town, parking the car, walking to the store, in the store.

They both needed new glasses, since they have new prescriptions, so it was quite overwhelming to have them both trying on different eyeglasses at the same time. Taking this model, then that model, off the shelves, and: "Papa, what about these!?"

Sometimes the rims were serious, as in: a genuine possibility for eventual purchase, and sometimes I would turn around and see pink ones or squarish sunglasses so large they resembled the side of a house. And on and on.

Maxime's antics, in particular, deserve some note. He certainly was entertaining enough to have other customers in the waiting area laughing. On donning a particularly cool and contemporary pair, he would act really stiff, and say he was going to "Deauville", and walk as if he both legs were in a cast, so stiff is it to reside in that town.

Both ended up with reasonble choices, I think. I always breathe a sigh of relief when neither is fixated on some truly odd pair. Not that this has ever happened, but it may. They are both wild cards.

After, we went to the florist shop I like in Vire. We were going to Domininque and Marion's for dinner, so I wanted to bring them flowers. While I was trying to assemble them, the boys were starting to short circuit, so I had to force one to wait outside on the sidewalk, and one to remain in the shop.

Natalya says that I get them wound up, but I don't know what she is talking about.

When the flowers were prepared, Gabriel wanted to take them, and was proud to walk with them.
