We're off! On the road to Williamsburg, Virginia!
After a long time of wanting us to all go together to Williamsburg, it finally happened for Meresey! We did it!
And while I think all the adults had visions of five trying hours in the car, with two deranged boys disguised as mild-mannered preppies, it didn't turn out that way at all. The five hours passed soon enough, and the boys were like honey.
We stopped to stretch and have a lunch. Meresey got to play tic-tac-toe with Maxime. And Gabriel ate a whole pile of broccoli, which brought him genuine happiness. He tried the Macaroni and Cheese, but didn't eat it. He has this innate sense of what is healthy, and he eats only that, and rejects pretty much everything else. It all comes from him, we say nothing.
Outside, we took a breather, and the boys stretched out, or lounged about is a better way of putting it, before we resumed the journey down to Williamsburg, with lots of anticipation.
