Hermance came to our house to see Gabriel! He was so excited. He even played different sorts of games with her than he ever would with Lola. With Lola, it is like two wild boys playing. With Hermance, he treats her with kid gloves, like a princess, and even does stuff he would never dream of doing otherwise. Like playing "farm" with little horses and farmers.
Were we to take a normal case, the tractors would be turned into racing cars in Gabriel's head, and they would race around the farm, oblivious to all four-legged creatures, like horses and cows, which for their part would serve no useful purpose whatever, since they have hooves and not wheels, and would therefore soon find themselves relegated to the center of the table where all things not built for speed end up in an unceremonious jumble.
So, as I say, you can see the astonishment with which we greeted the sight of Gabriel playing farm.
